Presenting Tanit XR at El Jem

I couldn't believe I was going to present in El Jem! The El Jem International Conference took place at the El Jem Museum, a few steps from the amphitheater our volunteers had scanned with their phones. I talked about Tanit XR and the people behind it.

There's something special about showing 3D scans of a monument with the real thing right outside the door. Niantic Spatial later interviewed me about our work there, which still feels unreal.

Our paper is about how volunteers with phones and XR can help protect heritage in Tunisia. We published it in English, French and Tunisian Arabic, so people back home can actually read it.

My sister came with me, and one of my favorite details: more than half the researchers presenting at the conference were women. That made me so happy.
