Ines also founded Tanit XR as Tunisia’s first open-source digital archive of endangered artifacts, training volunteers and using 3D scanning to preserve mosaics, statues, and archaeological sites dating back nearly 3,000 years. Through this work, she is building a platform that connects Tunisia’s cultural heritage to global audiences and future generations.Beyond her creative practice, Ines has shared her expertise as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Florida, mentoring young artists and technologists, and she continues to support emerging creators through workshops and global networks. Her research on immersive art and XR has been published in ACM and IEEE, where she received a Best Paper Award.Her projects and leadership have been featured by outlets including ABC, CBS, and UF News, and she has served as a juror for the Games for Change Student Challenge. Through both Tanit XR and her artistic career, Ines highlights the power of immersive art to preserve culture, foster education, and inspire social change.

Ines Said is a Tunisian immersive artist and XR technologist whose work combines art, technology, and sustainability to preserve heritage and confront global challenges. She is the founder of Tanit XR, Tunisia’s first open-source archive of endangered artifacts, and the creator of award-winning XR installations exhibited internationally and published in ACM and IEEE.
Her independent projects include Shadows of Tomorrow, a climate installation honored with the Excellence Awardpresented by Miami Chief Heat Officer Jane Gilbert and New York Times bestselling author Jeff Goodell, and Covid Reflections, an augmented reality public art experience exhibited in the United States and Japan.
Alongside her artistic practice, Ines is the Lead XR Developer at Froliq, where she co-developed the Future of Energy and Water installation for the Smithsonian’s FUTURES exhibition, a landmark show that welcomed more than 600,000 visitors. In 2025 alone, her sustainability and energy applications with Froliq were presented at over 40 events, reaching 11,000 attendees.
Her work has been showcased at institutions such as MIT and Parsons, recognized with international awards and global press coverage, and presented at leading conferences including Harvard and AWE. Through Tanit XR and her artistic practice, she demonstrates how immersive technology can preserve the past while inspiring sustainable futures, elevating Tunisia’s heritage on the global stage.
